What we cover
We pride ourselves on our wide definition of design, which includes branding, digital, print, TV and film, games, furniture, product, packaging, exhibition, industrial, stage and interiors, from workplace to hospitality.
We don’t tend to cover fashion – unless there is a product design / material angle – or traditional architecture.
Our coverage is UK and Ireland focused, which means:
- Studios and designers based here.
- Work for clients that are based here.
- Projects or initiatives that impact designers in the UK and Ireland.
- Work by UK and Irish designers based elsewhere.
We do have places where we cover international news, such as our daily newsletter, the Outline.
What we’re looking for
- News lines to include in our daily round-up (these are linked to source).
- New projects to feature.
- Ideas for columns and opinion pieces – these should have a strong and defined POV, or very practical takeaways.
- Interesting design leaders to interview for our regular series, Turning Points and Design / Leader.
- Trends, themes or topics that you’re exploring as a business.
Good to know
We are particularly interested in:
- Design as problem solving.
- The business impact of design.
- The realities of running a design business.
- Initiatives to widen diversity and inclusivity in the design world.
- The overlaps between design and other disciplines.
