Three motor giants are believed to be looking for senior designers following a restructure and staff movement.
Daewoo Motor, Volkswagen and Mazda all have design vacancies. Daewoo Motor is “developing” the design section at its Worthing technological centre and will be looking to fill senior design posts once plans are finalised.
“We’re developing a design strategy and are always looking for senior designers,” says Jim Mason, managing director of engineering at Daewoo Technical Centre in Worthing. “There will be more details on our strategy around March.”
Meanwhile, Mazda’s European design boss Arnold Ostle has gone, leaving a vacancy at the motor company’s German base. And Vauxhall’s design centre in Russelsheim is without a design head following the promotion of previous incumbent Dick Ruzzin.
Both Mazda and Vauxhall were unavailable to comment.
