Butterfly has London premier

Butterfly, a model animated film by Corin Hardy, has its London premier this week. The half-hour ‘fairytale-esque’ film, written, designed, directed and produced by Hardy, took five years to complete. Animation has been ‘traditionally’ completed, without the aid of CGI, says Hardy, who also created the models and designed the film’s 20 sets. David Cullen, musical arranger for several of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musicals, wrote the score. Butterfly, about a boy coping with tragedy, is ‘a story of hope’, says Hardy.
