Paris-based animator Kuntzel & Deygas has designed title sequences for Steven Spielberg’s forthcoming film Catch Me If You Can. Spielberg’s company Dreamworks wanted to work with a European design group to lend the sequences a ‘1960s, Saul Bass-inspired’ feel, says Charlotte Bavasso, founder of London production company Nexus which commissioned Kuntzel & Deygas after an approach by Dreamworks. The film, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks and set in the 1960s, is released in the UK on 31 January.
