The Gaming Challenge is being run by Unesco’s Mahatma Ghandi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development.

The competition organisers say: “We recognise the enormous potential of digital games as a tool for peace education… The initiative will incubate games on serious, real-life issues that strike the right balance between exciting gameplay and transformative learning.”

The winning project will receive funding of up to $100,000 (£67,000) and mentorship from the Unesco MGEIP team.

The deadline for applications is midnight on 15 February. For more information and to apply, visit mgiep.unesco.org.
