Conran & Partners in bed with Dorma Group

Conran & Partners has teamed up with bed linen manufacturer Dorma Group to create its first range of bedroom and bathroom products.

Bed by Conran goes on sale from January at John Lewis stores, and the range was designed by Terence Conran and his team as an affordable, quality collection that is inspired by 1930s Art Deco imagery.

Siobhan King, head of brand development at Dorma, says, ‘This is the first time we’ve worked with a design consultancy to develop a new range.

‘When Conran & Partners began its recent brand development with a move into furniture we asked if it would like to work with us.’

The collection comprises eight bed linen designs, including Measure, a grey and white print featuring a woven tape measure, and Buttons, a biscuit-coloured design featuring a line of applied buttons.

Next spring the collection will be expanded into accompanying bathroom products, including towels, toiletries and ceramics.

Dorma has a five-year agreement with Conran and will be expanding the range across international outlets.
