Export earner for INS and Qudos

A JOINT export organisation launching next week has been branded by Interbrand Newell and Sorrell. Event communications for British Trade International, formed by the Department of Trade and Industry and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, are by Middlesex design consultancy Qudos.

British Trade International will be a joint venture between the two Government departments to provide a source of advice for British export businesses. It is thought to have been under development for around 18 months.

INS was appointed 12 months ago to look at name generation, identity and positioning of the new department, while Qudos was brought in by the organisation’s PR group Cohn & Wolfe, to design and build 3D stage sets for an internal launch roadshow.

British Trade International will be launched to the public nationally on 31 May at a London event for 650 people, following an ongoing conference roadshow to 12 locations across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Stage sets for the internal conferences have been designed with video feeds featuring ministers such as Tony Blair, with photography commissioned by both groups. Qudos is responsible for video scripting and production work, plus designing delegate packs and invitations.

The conferences include a line up of top-tier Government speakers such as Richard Caborn, the Minister for Trade at the DTI, and John Battle, Minister of State at the FCO.
