A question mark still hangs over the fate of design staff and consultancy work at Golden Wonder, after the crisp-maker was put into the hands of administrator Kroll last week.
Future design projects by Golden Wonder-rostered design groups Taxi Studio and The Core have been put on hold until the fates of its brands, including Wheat Crunchies, Nik Naks, Ringos and Golden Wonder variants, are decided.
It is not known what will happen to the roles of head of packaging Caroline Burgess and recently appointed head of marketing Loretta MacFarlane, formerly of its Northern Ireland rival Tayto. Tayto has already acquired Golden Wonder’s Corby business.
The best option, in terms of safeguarding jobs, could be to sell the remaining Market Harborough head office and Scunthorpe operations together, insiders say.
