Habitat’s creative director Polly Dickens is standing down from her role, and is set to be replaced by Kate Butler, who will become head of product design. Butler – who is currently senior design manager and has been with the homewares company since 2013 – starts her new role in January 2018, and Dickens will leave at the end of that month.
Bristol Media has appointed Kate Gorringe, creative director at Mr B & Friends, to its board of directors. The industry-led organisation is made up of members from various areas of the creative industries. Gorringe will look to represent the design sector and champion women in the creative industries.
Danish studio Swift Creatives has set up a London office. The studio will be headed up by creative director and head of studio Matthew Cockerill, who has previously worked at consultancy Seymourpowell and Samsung Electronics.
Fjord has appointed Thomas Müller as general manager of its Europe, Latin America and Middle East offices. Müller’s responsibility spans 13 of Fjord’s 26 studios globally. He was previously regional design director of Europe, Latin America and Middle East at the consultancy.
London-based White Bear Studio has appointed Buzz Burman to the role of interim creative director.
