Publicis Groupe, the French network that owns design groups including Turner Duckworth, DigitasLBi and Poke, has reported a decline in UK revenues in the past year.
The group’s 2015 annual results show a 4.3% drop in revenues in the UK, which the network has put down to a change of management at Publicis Worldwide UK and the reorganisation of Razorfish.
The decline in UK revenue comes as the group as a whole reported a 32.3% revenue boost internationally. The majority of this growth was recorded in North America, the Middle East and Africa, with Europe showing a steadier rise.
Publicis Groupe highlighted the UK and Russia as particularly challenging areas for revenue growth.
Publicis Groupe chairman and chief executive Maurice Lévy called 2015 “a particularly busy year”, pointing to the £2.3 billion acquisition of Sapient and the reorganisation of the group into four “solutions hubs”.
He adds that due to this ongoing reorganisation “2016 will be a year of transition during which we anticipate to see modest organic growth, and focus on building foundations that will allow us to fire on all cylinders in 2017”.
