People

London-based consultancy Fluxx (which recently merged with MagneticNorth) has appointed David Bailey as executive creative director. Bailey previously co-led the BBC’s user experience and design team.

Jim Hare has joined London design studio Bulletproof as digital creative director. Having previously worked with brands including Cadbury, Mastercard and Lipton, Hare will lead Bulletproof’s digital output.

London design studio JDO has made two senior hires; Vaidehi Sagar as account director and Andy Briscoe as senior creative. Vaidehi was previously senior 3D project manager and client manager at Design Bridge while Brisco was art director at 1HQ.

International design consultancy Ideo has appointed Detria Williamson as chief marketing officer, where she will be responsible for communication initiatives. Williamson has worked with clients including Microsoft, Emirates Airlines and Discovery Channel.

B2B licensing group Songtradr has acquired music consultancy MassiveMusic, which has previously worked on sonic identities for companies including Apple, UEFA and Nike. Songtradr CEO Paul Wiltshire says that bringing the services together will allow the companies to overcome the “complexities of the B2B music industry” and scale further.

Jessica Lomax and Fiona Kenny have created a new London-based illustration agency Inkling Illustration which seeks to represent a diverse and international roster of designers. It launches with 13 illustrators, including Berlin-based David Leuteurt and South Africa’s Gerhard van Wyk.


Appointments

The Museum of London has appointed London design studio Uncommon and creative agency Something More Near to develop its visual identity ahead of its move to West Smithfield in 2024. The partnership was appointed following a nine-month procurement process.

A design team led by Selldorf Architects will lead the National Gallery’s bicentenary design project, NG200.
