The A2 posters have been designed by students and professional graphic designers like Dave Cuvelot, Fraser Muggeridge and Catherine Dixon, along with consultancies like GraphicDesign7, Container and Inventory Studio.
Alessi Mazzarella, a St Martins student and one of the sale’s organisers says, ‘We decided to keep the designers’ identities hidden to give equal opportunity to designers and students, so that posters are judged on what they are rather than who designed them.’
Held at St Bride Library on May 2, the posters are being sold to raise money for the library and to support the university’s 2012 Graphic Design Degree Show.
60 posters have already been created for the event, but organisers are still accepting contributions from designers and students with a submission deadline of April 23.
The Silent Poster Sale starts at 6.30 pm on May 2 at St Bride Library, 14 Bride Lane, London, EC4Y. For more information visit silentpostersale.tumblr.com
