Interbrand design director Jon Edge is leaving the group to set up his own consultancy.
According to Interbrand executive creative director Andy Payne, Edge will not be replaced immediately. Edge, who has been with Interbrand for three years, says he has ‘become frustrated with being pigeon-holed’ in 2D design.
His new venture will offer commercial consultancy with a ‘natural bias’ towards branding and advertising. Edge also hopes to build an arts-led arm that develops concepts across photography, film and installation. He plans to recruit ‘young, talented creative people’ as the business grows.
